Crazy celtics was under 500 in january i think
So basically what I have learned from this team is that they have a habit of starting off really slow in the beginning of the season.
The fact that the Celtics gave away Rajon Rondo for bench player Jay Crowder and Brendan wright just seems wrong. So much for having a franchise point guard like Bob cousy. If Rondo was never given away like nothing all because of Danny Ainge ego, Rondo may have never wanted to join the LA Lakers or team up with LeBron and he would never have idiotically point a loaded gun at the woman who is the mother of his kids. Rondo is just the biggest idiot almost as big as Montrezl Harrell getting busted for possessing 3 lb of cannabis. Montrezel could have just gotten a medical marijuana card and only have a little bit for medicinal purposes but instead he wanted to be a rich off of weed even though he makes millions of dollars a year playing basketball. Why would LeBron even be teammates with the Rondo and Harrell? They are throwing away their careers and not giving a single damn about it as we speak. But going back to the whole Rondo trade, it was a really bad trade. Dwight Powell could have been still playing for the Celtics instead of playing for the Mavericks. Him & Olynyk (why did his parents name him Kelly when he's clearly not female?) would make a solid Canadian Duo on the Celtics and on the Canadian national basketball team with olynyk as the power forward and Powell as the center.
I didn't see it as a rebuild rather Danny Ainge trying to sabotage the Celtics simply because he was jealous of Paul Pierce Kevin Garnett Ray Allen and Danny Angels former teammates Larry Bird Kevin McHale and Robert Parish being better than Danny Ainge. Ainge always jealous of them. I only wish Celtics owner Mr. Grousbeck fired Danny Ainge much sooner. The Celtics are one of the very few teams that should not be losing at any point. They have way too much history. I was pissed at Celtics front office in 2013 when they got rid head coach of Doc Rivers for no reason. They also could have found a way to get draft picks from Brooklyn without involving Paul Pierce because Paul Pierce should have been given the opportunity to retire as a Celtic. I ain't throwing any shade of Brad Stevens but he is no Doc Rivers and isn't as strict to his players compared to talk but Brad Stevens was good enough even though he was primarily a college coach with no prior NBA coaching experience. Brad Stevens did do a good job as Celtics head coach and is now the GM and president of basketball operations. Although sadly I was not a fan of Brad Stevens getting rid of enes Kanter freedom. He would have helped the Celtics win a title averaging a double-double. He would have been a better leader for the Celtics or co-leaders with Marcus Smart. A lineup of Smart, Brown, Tatum, Freedom at the four since that is more of his natural position, and Williams III would have been really interesting. But sadly, udoka never liked fit Kanter into his rotation and Stevens didn't try to force udoka into starting Kanter at power forward. I would have loved to see Kanter go one-on-one against LeBron not in the playoffs but in the regular season. The fact that the last time a Celtics player averaged 10 rebounds per game in a season was Al Jefferson in 2007 shows that Danny Ainge for too long has neglected the rebounding aspect the Celtics lacked and sadly Garnett didn't even average 10 rebounds per game in any of his six seasons with the Celtics it's just disappointing. If cancer had been a full-time starter for the Celtics he would have averaged at least 11 rebounds and four offensive rebounds. Freedom is among the best power forwards in terms of setting screens and grabbing rebounds especially on the offensive end and the fact that udoka did not want freedom as his starting power forward over Al Horford, no disrespect to Al Horford, but Kanter is a better younger option as the starting power forward at this point. Horford may be the better defender but Freedom has more aggression chasing rebounds and is more physically dominant on the offensive end of the low post.
