  1. Strangely I've been binge watching your videos despite giving up the game that I loved several years ago. Love the editing and everything about it actually. The Eagle was hilarious. And that my friends is golf!!! Sometimes the golf gods giveth…other times not so much.

  2. Great video gents, I have a voucher at home I still have to use – after this video even more excited to play there someday. Who can say they shot a eagle on hole 18 of St. andrews….

  3. Son muy interesantes las lápidas de tumbas que hay a lo largo del recorrido sobre todo en los primeros 9 hoyos, algunas sobre el mismo fairway.

  4. I started playing golf on July 4th 2021 and today I broke 80 for the first time, with a 78! (Absolutely buzzing). This is probably 98% down to Rick Shiels and his videos! Legend.

  5. Loved the way Rick talks to us, so honestly. Loved seeing him play well and smash 75. Loved seeing more of Guy and Guy’s golf too – boy can that lad put! 😉👍🏻

  6. Personally I don’t get links golf at all -looks like playing in a big cow field, give me a parkland course any day. Still well done Rick, you played awesome mate !👍⛳️

  7. Rick , i hit a tree on my 2nd shot into the green , on a par 4 . We were laughing , looking around for my ball ! One guy said , "look in the hole" . We laughed even harder until he said , "what are you playing" ? I said , "a Nike MOJO" and bent down and pulled it out of the cup ! That's my "lucky shot" golf story 😂😂

  8. like something out of happy Gilmore I'd say to see 😂 congrats Rick on the eagle great video as always!

  9. Awesome eagle on 18! My wife and I are visiting Scotland in March and I can't wait to see St.Andrews, always been a dream of mine!

  10. The 18th reminds me of playing with my dad’s friends.

Par 3. One of them scorched a 5 iron into the trees. As he’s pitching a fit about his inability to hit anything decent, the ball hit 2 trees back onto the green and in the cup for an ace.

    Damnedest thing I ever saw.

They don’t ask how. They ask how many.

  11. I find myself getting mad at Rick when he misses them short putts lol. Is that normal? Anyone else??? Cheers, from Pawleys Island, SC.

  12. Great video. I "walk" the course every now and then but in my Oculus Rift VR Headset and Google Earth VR. It is in full 3D imagery and there are lots of 360 degree photos you can look at too from inside the headset. With the 360's one can also essentially go inside the shops and pubs too. It is amazing how familiar one can get by doing it in VR. When on TV you can bring a live TV (Hauppauge) inside the headset as a place able and sizeable overlay and see the shot players are making in 3D. You can also look around too and see exactly what they see all the way around them. New tech is crazy stuff.

  13. You played brilliant – both. Guy's 77 could have been so much lower. But, a great dogmatic recovery. I enjoyed the video on the best course in the Universe!

  14. That eagle on 18 has to be the funnest bounces in golf history. Amazing stuff all around! Anyways, it’s probably blasphemy to say this and I’m not trying to take anything away from both your amazing rounds, but St. Andrews seems like a very easy course. Big wide open fairways and greens. Tee shots and approach shots bounce and roll at at least 50 yards so even 240-250 yard drives would be at or over 300 and 20 yard short approach shots roll up on the green nicely. Based on the video, there is very little trouble anywhere on the course even if you miss the fairway or green.

  15. You need to try a mallet putter for a round with a little weight to not keeping it short. It changed my game. Just a suggestion.

  16. Rick saying he should be quite… he's probably one of if not the most recognisable golfer to amateurs…. I'd be buzzing if he interrupted me on the course.
