What do you think a single-digit handicap would shoot at The Country Club in Brookline, MA under U.S. Open conditions? With super long holes, punishing rough, and lightning-fast greens it won’t be easy.

While we were in Massachusetts for this Break 90, we recorded an episode of The Erik Anders Lang Show with Will Ahmed, Founder & CEO of WHOOP. Had a great conversation! Check it out on the new RGC Radio YouTube Channel. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EUQZ0IjBPg&t=109s&ab_channel=RGCRadio
what is the song that starts at 20:00?
I gotta say it…. Maybe EAL is rusty? This did not look his typical. What’s his HCP? I know he said single digit but there’s a massive difference between a 9 and a 2… and he looked closer to a 9 here.
Right off the bat, hospitality tent was playing as free relief for the tournament.
Battling through 7400 yards without command of your driver is a tall, tall task. Impressive and fun!
no way this dude is a single digiti handi
The back and fourth conversation is great, however this was not anywhere near US Open conditions.
This is months. I mean months before the open. This is not even close to what this course looked like.
What is his handicap ? he seems to have plenty of distance
why does this course look so bad lol
I love these. The honesty, the banter, the feel. Makes me feel like I'm the one out there playing.
27:03 mark was funny, deep breathing, max focus, atrocious looking putt
nice to see him still making videos, thought he. fell off but glad to see algorithm working here and views nice on this one, go lang, buddy pulls mad punani
Looks like you were playing in the autumn/ fall and they were already setting up for the open? Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one with 'the shank guy' in my head!
Had no idea Paul Rudd played golf
yea you suck, how or why are you doing these videos, lol
Swing is looking money
I’d be curious to see if teeing off on tee boxes for the par 3’s would have made a difference. Also if maybe an amateur with a tad more distance as well would have fared better.
single handicap? no way.
That rough is NO WHERE close to US Open conditions.
No offense, but you didn't play like a single digit handicap. Must have been a bad day. You're very stabby with your putter. Not sure ho you could ever get confident like that. Less back and more accelerating through sir. Considering how good your speed was, you'd probably be a very good putter with a more confident stroke. You're favorite club should have been left in the bag! =) Stop all the negative talk about yourself. It has an effect. "I'm gonna shank it. I can't do left to right puts."
Next time when im playing with a group, I'm gonna ask, "Can we have Snack Time?"
Single digit….
Lol. I'm used to hearing rick say this is break 75. When he said 90. What. No this is exactly who I should be watching.
There is a lot of TIO in this video not a fan
Can't believe that ball on 8 at 23:19. Thought it was a well-weighted pitch!
Love the caddie
This is at least a month before the event and the conditions are nowhere near the US Open.
This guy doesnt strike me as a very good golfer.
imagine if this was June, he shoots 1000
Love the content!!! You and Francis make a great team!!
I have been playing golf most of my life and this dude has a great attitude. The caddie is great too. I learned after many years of playing that Ty Webb was right about everything. A flute without holes is not a flute and a donut without a hole is a danish. NANANANANANA. So what? So let's dance!!!!
Francis was truly the star of Part 1 !
17:04 – "A par is a zero. A par is like never even happened."—Erik Anders Lang
A truth going straight into my miscellaneous quotes
"I see a cut, I see a cut" DOUBLE CROSS
That felt like a PoV of me playing the easiest muni course. Good video as always.
Umm single digit handicap?
These have always been awesome to watch Eric! Don't hang em up. I know its pry frustrating for you but us average hacks who won't get to experience this it is cool
For sure would have called the first a breakfast ball
Not seen it but I’m thinking 115
Great vid as always. Channeling Chubbs Peterson with that colour glove
Respect Erik. Can’t wait to see the back 9.
sup
Random Golf Club really has some of the best filming. Absolutely love watching these.
