The last 2 Finals MVP winners Giannis (2021) and Steph (2022) are among those winners that included in the same category of players like LeBron (2016), Dirk (2011) and Hakeem (1995) that not only cement their legacy in the history books but also boosted their legacy and all-time rankings although I'm not sure if KD will be mentioned in this list just to silence his doubters who say things like "he was a mercenary on the 2 Warriors championship seasons whose path to the title got easier because of him" and "he can't win a title as the sole best player on his own team".

14. I'm so happy that Steph is finally on this list of Finals MVP winners throughout NBA Finals history. He could've won it in 2015 if it wasn't for his dismal performance in Game 2 and of course KD outplayed him in their last 2 titles. Well deserved and now he's no longer mentioned in the same breath as Dr. J as one of the great NBA champions to have never won Finals MVP although most of the guys in that list like KG, J-Kidd and D-Rob were on the older side when they finally won a title in their respective years.
