At just three-years-old, James — known as “Baby James” — is the pint-sized pride of southern Louisiana for his skills on the golf course.
“He would start hitting the ball around the house while he was crawling,” James’ mother Nicole Grimes told ABC News’ “Nightline.” “We’d just moved here and he started crawling it, hitting it.”
A self-described “golf mom,” Nicole Grimes drives James to practice at two nearby golf courses at least four times a week.

I also started playing golf when I was 1 with a plastic set then when I was 3 I got aluminum clubs and started going to the driving range. I remember making decent contact but not as much as James and my putting was atrocious. I've become a decent golfer over the years but I've been playing off and on, and I'm definitely not a scratch golfer. My handicap is around +21 for my first month back in close to a year. Wish me luck!

When u watch golf it can look simple but try playing 🤦🏻♂️, when u see pros hitting 270-300 odd yards u think I can do that until u go to the range and actually see how far even 200 yards actually is and come up short of it! 😂, when I see chips on the green next to the flag u think easy until u hit miles past the hole and end up further away than u were originally 😂 golfs hard making contact with a small ball not whacking the ground takes a lot of practice to do well, this is all good seeing kids with talent I just also say let kids be kids though don’t push them hard
