In 1325, the Aztecs built a giant artificial island, Tenochtitlan, on an island in the middle of Lake Texcoco. According to legend, this place was built by the brother of a “giant”, the god Iztak-Mixkotel, who symbolized hunting, the galaxy and the stars. Six of his seven sons were giants, and especially Notch was one of the sons.
